Finally...some good news!

J.T. called last night. J.T. was the near-death patient who returned to living under a bridge with girlfriend Bailey four days after his release from the hospital.

He made it to his home state of Florida, settled into a shelter and set up his outpatient treatment at the hospital across the street.

Alone.

I was overjoyed.

Upon arriving in Louisiana, disturbing events finally caused reality to set in. They were just not good together. Having met on the streets, they were two tortured souls who'd alienated all friends and family, battled addictions, and were trying to stay one step ahead of the consequences that awaited them. Not a good foundation for a relationship.

While Bailey continued her westward journey, J.T  headed east.

Cautiously reconciling with his family, J.T. has a chance to get his health, his family, his entire LIFE back. I will continue to pray every step of the way.

Like many who leave the area, J.T. will stay in touch. As his mother and sister have since I reached them with the news that J.T. had slipped into a coma months ago.

It isn't necessary to see the fruits of your labor in ministry. It is nice, though, when you do!
